Volunteer

Our volunteers help us to provide food and practical support to people left without enough money to live on.

Volunteers make a difference in the local community across a range of roles, including boosting donations, packing food parcels, providing a warm welcome, tackling loneliness, signposting to additional services, connecting with partners, raising awareness and leading projects.

Our team

At Brentwood Foodbank we have various teams of volunteers, without them we would not be able to provide this help to those in need:

  • Distribution Centre Teams who meet those in need and sort and provide the food parcels:
    • Brentwood Baptist Church Team
    • Doddinghurst Road Community Church Team
  • Warehouse Team who sort donations, order extra food needed and select the order of food that the distribution centres need
  • Van Drivers who collect donations and deliver them to the warehouse, take food from warehouse to the distribution centres, and deliver food parcels when those in need cannot attend our centres

How to volunteer

The most valuable asset we have in the Foodbank is people’s time. The more volunteers we have the better the service we can provide.

If you would like to enquire about volunteering at one of our collection centres or our Foodbank Warehouse please get in touch. Thank you for your continued support.
